ITINERARY

This Tour is, as any of the European Tours cancelled for 2020. We will post 2021 Tours as soon as the borders reopen. There is no information for it at this time.

Day 1 – Depart home for your flight to Paris.

Day 2 –  Arrive Paris and transfer to the hotel.  After checking in there is time to relax before we take you for a walk around the neighborhood to show you what is where. Our hotel is located in St. Germain, in a typical Parisian neighborhood with cafes, restaurants and pubs. The Louvre,  the Musee de Orsay with its fantastic selection of  Impressionists and Notre Dame are all within walking distance.  In the evening dinner is in a small restaurant that’s that’s big on charm and great food. Breakfast and dinner included.

Day 3 –  After sleeping in, start the day with a leisurely breakfast in the beautiful atrium of the hotel.  Later we go on a chocolate walk that will take you to a famous chocolatier, a fantastic bakery, a food market and a pastry shop. Afterward the remainder of the afternoon is on your own.  In the evening enjoy Boeuf Bourguinon in a typical Parisian  Restaurant near the hotel. Breakfast and dinner included.

Day 4 – This morning you will embark for a day tour to Disneyland Paris. After returning to the hotel the evening will be on your own. Breakfast included.

Day 5 – This morning visit the Ille de Cite the island in the Seine where Paris had its beginning and where the Cathedral of Notre Dame is located. Tragically, Notre Dame burned to the ground last year, but you can see the ruins of that that historic landmark which is now being restored, a job that will take years.  Afterwards enjoy a short cruise on the Seine River after which the afternoon is on your own. In the evening enjoy a once-in-a-lifetime dinner at Jules Verne, the 3-Michelin star restaurant atop the Eiffel Tower,  397 foot above Paris. Breakfast and dinner included.

Day 6 – Having tasted the chocolates at Jules Verne we have a private visit to the small chocolate factory in the private studio of a chocolate artist with a romantic garden where the flavors for his chocolates are grown. Afterward, return to the hotel where the remainder of the afternoon and evening is on your own. Breakfast included.

Day 7 – After breakfast, we transfer to the train station to travel to Montreux in Switzerland where the beautiful Hotel Suisse Majestic will be home for the next three days. The day ends with a stroll to an old local restaurant for a Fondue dinner. Breakfast and Dinner included.

Day 8 – After breakfast, a special day is in store for us. We will take the train to nearby Vevey to have a hands-on lesson at the Laederach Chocolate studio to learn how to make one of the chocolate treats for which Laederach is famous for. After returning  the hotel, the evening is on your own. Breakfast included. 

Day 9 – This morning we take a train, a Swiss version of the Orient Express, to the mountain town of  Gsaat, a famous resort  with the look of a Swiss mountain village and stores rivaling those on Rodeo Drive in Hollywood. After relaxing over lunch take some time to stroll through the traffic-free streets  of this  typical Swiss Village before re-boarding the train back to Montreux where the evening is on your own.  Breakfast and lunch included.

Day 10 –  Today we travel by train to Geneva where you stay in a sumptuous hotel in the center of the old town. The hotel is housed in four historic buildings dating to the 13th century.  After getting settled take some time to relax in your beautiful room before taking a walk through old Geneva ending with dinner at the hotel’s restaurant which is one of the best in Geneva serving traditional cuisine. Breakfast and dinner included.

Day 11 – After a leisurely breakfast board one of the lake steamers for a lunch cruise on lake Geneva. After return to the evening is on your own. B L

Day 12 –  This morning we board a private bus that will take us to the oldest chocolate factory in Switzerland where we have a tour through the factory followed by a chocolate tasting.  In the evening we meet to have dinner at the Hotel de Ville, probably the very oldest restaurant in Geneva in what is not even a hotel.  Breakfast and dinner included.

Day 13 – Transfer to the airport for your return flight. Breakfast included.
